Rebecca Faythe - I listened to this podcast after a difficult start to the morning and it just about made me cry. I often feel like, before becoming a mother, I knew who I was and was in (at least partial) control of my emotions…then I had her, and the last year, it’s almost felt like I’m an adolescent again. I’ve found myself reacting, reacting, reacting, acting in ways I thought I was long done acting. It’s often felt like I’m outside looking in, when I’m reacting to anger, or fear, or sadness, and I know I don’t want to feel that way or act that way, but I haven’t know how to stop it *while it’s happening* rather than after the fact…this podcast today was so comforting and inspiring to me and gave some good ideas to help understand and regain control and knowledge of myself…and as soon as I have the extra cash, I am definitely buying that manual <3 <3 <3 thank you so much for putting on this show. You, and all are the women you've interviewed, are so marvelous.ReplyCancel

Michelle - Rebecca, I’m so glad to hear that today’s episode resonated with you. What you talk about is incredibly common, and I too experienced it (and sometimes still get triggered!). THIS is the opportunity for the soul work! THIS is how you get to know your truest self! THIS is how we change the world through our mothering! Your daughter is blessed to have you as her mother. I used to think that I had made a mistake in having children, because it was SO much harder than I thought it would be. Now, I feel so lucky and thankful, not only because I love my kids to pieces of course, but because it’s very unlikely I would have had the amount of personal and spiritual growth that I’ve experienced if not for the fire of motherhood. SO much love to you, and I’m so glad are here. xoxo, MichelleReplyCancel
